JOB PURPOSE:
This individual will provide support to the Finance function by maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, and ensuring adherence to company policies, statutory obligations, and financial reporting standards.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support accurate financial record-keeping, reporting, reconciliations, and maintenance of accounting records in compliance with organizational policies.
Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice verification, payment administration, supplier account management, and resolution of vendor queries.
Contribute to the implementation of health, safety, and environmental standards by ensuring accurate cost tracking, compliance, and promotion of a safe working environment.
Support the effective use of financial systems, internal controls, and document management processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Assist with audit activities and regulatory compliance by preparing financial documentation and ensuring adherence to accounting standards, tax requirements, and corporate policies.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & CAREER EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
A CPA-K or an equivalent professional qualification.
2 - 3 years' relevant accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or audit environment.
Experience in accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting is an added advantage.
Working knowledge of accounting systems, preferably SAP, and proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
Sound understanding of accounting principles and IFRS.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and time management skills.
Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with a positive and proactive approach.
High levels of integrity and confidentiality when handling financial information.
Willingness to learn, take on additional responsibilities, work under supervision, and meet deadlines.
