Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Assistant to support their finance function. This role suits a professional with strong accounting knowledge and a hands-on approach to financial operations to ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records, including journals, ledgers, and reconciliations
Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations
Support preparation of financial statements
Manage invoicing and accounts receivable/payable Ensure timely statutory filings (VAT, withholding tax, etc.)
Handle tax compliance including rental income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and capital gains Identify and resolve discrepancies
Maintain proper documentation and audit trails
Support audits and liaise with auditors and regulators
Qualifications
2-3 years of accounting experience
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of tax obligations, preferably in real
Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting estate/property management
High accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle confidential information professionally
