Responsibilities
Revenue recognition according to IFRS into the ERP and financial reports
Daily posting and application of all company receipts on the ERP for all sales and accounts receivables transactions
Accurate and timely customer invoice preparation
Monitor deliveries supplied to credit customers for prompt invoicing
Assists with cash flow planning and report preparation to ensure working capital optimisation
Ensure safety and security of all cash and cheques by putting them in the safe at the daily close of business
Preparation of weekly and other periodic ageing reports
Assist with collation of documents for customer credit appraisals
Monitor customer positions to ensure compliance with approved credit limits
Daily/Weekly/Monthly bank reconciliation and preparation of bank reconciliation statements for all bank accounts assigned.
Revaluation of foreign currency accounts (upon review with line managers)
Daily monitoring of product inventory levels
Recommend process improvement for improved financial control
Ensure appropriate approvals are in place prior to product release
Perform any other duties as may be assigned in line with business priorities.
Education and Experiences
Academic Qualification:
Bachelor's or a first degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related fields.
Professional Certification:
Professional accounting qualification - ICAN/ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA
Minimum of 2 years' work experience in progressive accounting, investment, or finance experience
Certification in supply chain/procurement/stores management/trade finance is an added advantage
Industry experience is an advantage
Skills/Competencies:
Computer Skills: Accounting Software, MS Office (Word, Excel), Research skills
Accounting Skills: Financial reporting and Account reconciliation.
Managerial Skills: Leadership, Teamwork, Negotiation and Time management.
Performance Metrices
Financial Reporting:
Timely and accurate reports (Daily sales & inventory, weekly bank reconciliation, month end reports, inventory tracking reports etc)
Accurate and updated ageing reports
Revenue:
Revenue recognition in accordance to IFRS
Systems & Controls:
No. of Internal Control/Process Breach Incidents (e.g. unauthorised product releases, etc)
ERP/Systems Implementation
Month-End Closing Cycle Time
Prompt customer invoicing, confirmations, advice and reconciliation
Regulatory & Compliance:
