Constitutional and Statutory Requirements for Appointment:
Pursuant to Section 39A (1)(a) of the Political Parties Act, No.11 of 2011, a person to be appointed as an Adhoc Member of the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal -advocate must possess the following qualifications. i. Hold a Bachelor of Laws degree from a recognized university. ii. Have a post-graduate Diploma in law from Kenya School of Law or from a recognized institution. iii. Have at least seven (7) years of post-admission experience. iv. Must not be a public officer or holds office in a political party. v. Qualification and experience in alternative dispute resolution will be an added advantage. vi. Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on leadership and integrity.
