Job Summary
We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Admin Officer with an accounting background to support daily administrative operations, record-keeping, and basic accounting activities. The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel, basic accounting principles, tax and statutory deductions, and the ability to accurately manage administrative and financial records.
Key Responsibilities
Handle day-to-day administrative and office support activities.
Maintain accurate records, files, and administrative documentation.
Perform data entry and assist with basic reconciliation of financial and administrative records.
Assist with the preparation and documentation of tax deductions, withholding tax (WHT), PAYE, VAT, and other applicable statutory deductions.
Maintain proper records and supporting documents for tax and financial transactions.
Assist in checking invoices and other financial documents for accuracy and completeness.
Support the preparation of basic administrative, financial, and expense reports.
Organise and maintain accurate documentation of transactions and office activities.
Ensure records and spreadsheets are accurate, complete, and up to date.
Maintain confidentiality of financial, employee, and company information.
Perform other administrative and accounting-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum of OND/HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
1 - 3 years of relevant experience in an administrative, accounting, finance, or similar role.
Strong practical proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
Good understanding of basic accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial record-keeping.
Practical knowledge of taxation, PAYE, VAT, WHT, and basic statutory deductions.
Ability to use Excel for data entry, calculations, organising records, preparing reports, and basic reconciliation.
Good numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality.
