About the Role
The member will be part of the Forbes Marshall Kenya team and will play an integral role in supporting administrative, finance, and operational activities at the branch level. The role offers exposure to working with members in India and other international entities, contributing to smooth and effective branch operations.
Responsibilities
Play an active role in the smooth day-to-day functioning of the Kenya office by handling routine administrative tasks and supporting general office activities in an organized and professional manner.
Contribute to finance and accounting activities through invoice recording, documentation, and basic reconciliations, while supporting statutory and internal reporting with guidance from the Head Office.
Be involved in order-related activities such as order entry, documentation, invoicing, and tracking of materials to help ensure timely delivery to customers.
Maintain accurate records and documentation, and contribute to internal processes linked to compliance, reporting, and audit requirements.
Support vendor and client-related activities including invoice sharing, payment records, and follow-ups as part of regular office operations.
Provide day-to-day administrative support for payroll processing, member records, insurance documentation, and staff expense claims.
Handle travel arrangements, accommodation bookings, banking-related tasks, and provide support for customer events and exhibitions when required.
Engage with members in India and other international offices, gaining exposure to regional and global ways of working within Forbes Marshall.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or Management. Candidates with a strong accounting or finance orientation will be well suited to this role.
4 - 8 years of relevant experience in roles involving accounts, finance support, office administration, or branch-level operations within a structured corporate environment.
Practical exposure to invoice processing, documentation, record maintenance, and basic reconciliations, with an appreciation for accuracy and timely follow-through.
Familiarity with office administration and day-to-day branch activities, including handling documentation and supporting internal processes.
Comfort in working with numbers, reports, and financial data, supported by a methodical and detail-conscious approach.
Sound organizational skills, with the ability to manage routine responsibilities, meet timelines, and maintain consistency in execution.
Clear and professional communication skills, enabling effective interaction with internal members, vendors, and service partners.
Openness to working with members in India and other international offices, and comfort in following standardized organizational processes.
A dependable and conscientious work style, with readiness to take ownership of assigned activities.
