MINIMUM - COMPETENCIES
Knowledge of the Financial and Procurement procedures.
Knowledge and understanding of the Departmental procedures and prescripts/policies.
Knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislation and regulations that govern the Public Service including the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act No 1 of 1999).
Strong communication skills (writing and verbal), Ability to interact productively with supervisors, peers and external role players, good organizational skills, interpersonal skills, good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Ability to work individually and in a team, ability to work under pressure, extensive hours, multi-tasking and self-supervision. The candidates should have a sense of responsibility, loyalty and honesty. Driver's license.
REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 plus a recognised Higher Certificate/National Diploma in Public Administration, experience in an administrative field.
DUTIES
Provide administrative and logistical support, typing and proof-reading documents, manage incoming and outgoing documents, and provide budgetary support.
Provide administration support, document filing and tracking.
Provide inventory control support. Consolidate and compile Portfolio of Evidence in preparation for Audit.
