CITAM Seeks to recruit a born-again Christian who is experienced and self-motivated to fill the position of an Agriculture and Livelihood Technical Officer, who will be responsible for the effective management and coordination of agriculture and livelihoods interventions with CITAM Marsabit Agriculture and Livelihood Improvement (Mali) Project.
The position reports to the Projects coordinator
Key duties and responsibilities:
Contributing to the development and execution of agricultural and livelihoods strategies in collaboration with the project team.
Providing technical input to inform project planning, budgeting, and implementation.
Building partnerships with relevant government agencies, NGOs, and community stakeholders.
Supporting the identification, mobilization, and vetting of project beneficiaries including smallholder farmers.
Designing and conducting training sessions and developing relevant capacity-building materials.
Overseeing the implementation of project activities to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Participating in project monitoring, evaluation, and learning, including baseline assessments and documentation.
Preparing inputs for project reports and participating in regular project review meetings.
Supervising and supporting field extension officers, including identifying training needs and tracking performance.
Requirements
Requirements and qualifications
Must be a born-again, mature Christian who conforms to the CITAM statement of faith.
A Degree in either of Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agriculture economics/extension, Social Science/Development studies or any other related field.
Minimum of 6 years' experience in Agricultural and livelihood projects
Extensive knowledge of the agricultural sector, with a strong focus on climate resilience Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Highly proficient in writing clear, comprehensive, and impactful reports
Knowledge of monitoring, evaluation and learning strategies
