MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
BSc or Diploma in Agronomy, Plant Science, Soil Science, or a related agricultural field.
Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in crop production, technical sales, or agricultural research.
Strong understanding of South African farming practices.
Valid Code 08 (EB) Driver's License and willingness to travel frequently to service clients in the region.
Excellent communication and relationship skills.
ESG Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of sustainable agriculture, regenerative farming, and ESG reporting frameworks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE LIMITED TO
Field Scouting & Diagnostics:
Conduct routine field visits to scout for pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
Crop & Soil Management:
Develop tailored fertilization, irrigation, and crop protection programs based on soil and tissue analyses.
Technical Support:
Advise commercial growers on best practices, seed selection, and modern farming technologies.
Data Tracking:
Monitor crop performance, estimate yields, and keep accurate records of field trials.
Sales & Relationship Building:
Build trust with local farmers, promote our specialized agricultural products, and achieve regional sales targets.
Carbon & Emissions:
Track and reduce the carbon footprint of our agricultural inputs (e.g., fertilizers, fuel) and explore regenerative agriculture methods.
