Position Summary


Swisscontact is seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer to drive the development of modern solutions with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the latest Power Platform technologies including Copilot Studio. In this senior technical role, you will collaborate closely with our Product Owner for Dynamics 365, the whole Technology team and Citizen Developers around the globe to design and implement innovative solutions that digitally empower our organization.


Key Responsibilities


Design & Develop Cutting-Edge Solutions: Technically conceptualize and build state-of-the-art solutions in Dynamics 365 (Customer Engagement) and across the Microsoft Power Platform - including Copilot Studio based AI solutions, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Pages. These solutions will support core areas such as Donor & Partner Management, Project Management, Finance and Administration, with a focus on deep Dynamics 365 development and integrations with other systems, e. g. using APIs.
Technical Collaboration: Work closely with the Product Owner and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs. Provide expert advice on how to digitize and streamline business and support processes through Dynamics 365 customization and Power Platform capabilities (e.g. implementing complex logic in Dynamics with plug-ins or java scripts, custom connectors, AI-assisted functionality via Copilot, etc.).
Support & Knowledge Sharing: Cooperate with and support other Technology team members in joint projects and daily operations. Act as a technical lead for Power Platform initiatives, ensuring high-quality coding standards and maintainable solutions. Support end users of the respective solutions.
Adoption & Training: Promote widespread adoption of Power Platform solutions. This includes mentoring citizen developers within the organisation, delivering training on new features (e.g. Copilot AI features) and best practices, as well as helping to build an active internal community of Power Platform users. Lead and maintain the governance of citizen development within the organization (Center of Excellence).


Qualifications 

Education & Experience


Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent technical education.
Minimum 4 - 5 years of hands-on experience developing, implementing, and maintaining solutions on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform.
Proven expertise in Power Platform components (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents) is required, with substantial experience in Dynamics 365 customization and development (plug-ins, workflows, Dataverse)
Interest or experience in emerging Power Platform technologies.
Solid understanding of software development life cycle and best practices in the Power Platform ecosystem (solution management, DevOps pipelines for Power Platform, Power Platform governance for citizen development - e. g. with the Center of Excellence Starter Kit).
Ability to integrate Dynamics/Power Platform with other systems via connectors or custom APIs.
Experience with Power Pages for external-facing applications or portals, and familiarity with AI/Copilot features (e.g. Power Platform Copilots, Azure OpenAI integration) is a strong advantage for creating future-ready solutions.
Strong AI skills including prompting techniques, an understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, SLMs, AI orchestration, agentic AI, RAG and with hands-on experience integrating AI Builder and AI Foundry into business processes and Power Platform based solutions is a plus.
