Description
Coordinate physical inspections of aircraft, engines, major modules, and technical records as required by lessors, buyers, and contractual agreements;
Perform due diligence audits and technical reviews of aircraft records to verify compliance with contractual, regulatory, and airworthiness requirements;
Verify that maintenance activities have been performed in accordance with approved maintenance programmes, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements;
Conduct incoming and outgoing inspections of aircraft (locally and internationally), engines, and major modules in accordance with approved work instructions;
Conduct aircraft physical inspections both locally and internationally to determine suitability for the fleet;
Co-ordinate manpower and skill requirements for production and records;
Provide oversight of maintenance activities performed during delivery and redelivery projects to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance with approved standards;
Provide technical guidance and support relating to fault finding, troubleshooting, and rectification activities;
Provide technical expertise and guidance relating to the applicable aircraft type and associated systems;
Ensure spares available on time, correctly certificated and at correct location;
Ensure modification work packs are available and approved;
Ensure applicable airworthiness authority requirements are met;
Oversee and coordinate aircraft and engine delivery and redelivery projects, ensuring all project milestones, timelines, deliverables, and contractual obligations are achieved;
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, resource requirements, and implementation timelines for assigned projects;
Prepare and present project progress reports, highlighting milestones, risks, constraints, and dependencies to relevant stakeholders;
Provide day-to-day oversight and direction to technicians and other personnel assigned to delivery and redelivery projects;
Set team objectives and performance expectations aligned to project and business requirements. Motivate, organise, and coordinate team activities to ensure productivity and effective project execution;
Identify and remove operational barriers impacting project delivery, quality, or efficiency;
Support team members in resolving technical and operational challenges;
Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, lessors, buyers, and service providers to ensure project requirements and deadlines are achieved;
Coordinate the availability of materials, components, tooling, equipment, and inventory required to support project execution;
Inform and update the Asset Management team regarding planned and unplanned maintenance activities affecting aircraft deliveries and redeliveries;
Act as the primary liaison between Technical Operations and Asset Management to ensure alignment of project objectives and requirements.
Requirements
Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
Licensed AME with a SACAA A & C License on B737/800 (Essential);
Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience (Essential);
Previous experience working on B737/800 (Essential);
OJT experience (Essential);
Previous people management experience (Essential);
Project Management experience (Essential);
Sound knowledge of principles, practices and experience in Aircraft Maintenance;
Knowledge of aircraft records, aviation regulations, aviation quality standards and aircraft lease/engine contract administration;
Knowledge of relevant sections of SACAA/2Reg/FAA/EASA regulations;
Must be available and willing to travel internationally at short notice;
Must have a valid passport;
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook, Powerpoint);
