Job Purpose


To conduct statistical analysis, interpretation and compile reports to support decision-making processes within the division including the automation of such reports.


Education and Experience

Minimum Qualification & Experience Required


National Diploma/ Advanced Certificate (NQF 6) in Data Analytics/Computing AND 3-4 years' experience in a Data Analysis / Reporting / related environment, of which 1 - 2 years at a knowledge worker level.

Senior Certificate (NQF 4) AND 6 years' experience in a Data Analysis / Reporting / related environment, of which 1 - 2 years at a knowledge worker level.


Job Outputs:

Process


Analyse and evaluate performance of BU, identify and report on variances against cost, quality, delivery and risk, ensure compliance with ops strategy.
Apply practical and applied knowledge and act authoritatively on methods, systems and procedures to identify trends and potential risks.
Collect and collate data, analyse information and provide reports and recommendations.
Communication of situational interpretation and judgement of work outputs and queries in area of specialisation.
Correctly apply policies, practices, standards, procedures and legislation in the delivery of work outputs.
Gather data of current processes, systems and performance to facilitate process analysis and improvements.
Provide specialist input through the investigation of opportunities for operational and process, product and risk optimisation.
Undertake information gathering and analysis of data within set guidelines to report related information to business.
Accumulate information and provide reports with recommendations applicable to area of specialisation.
Effectively plan and schedule own activities to continuously improve quality and service delivery in area of specialisation.
Execute process and procedural change, implement the change and provide guidelines and support related to new requirements because of the change.
Use practical and applied knowledge and situational judgement to arrive at decisions.
