Job Summary


The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales performance within a defined geographic area by managing a team of sales representatives, developing market strategies, and building strong customer relationships.
The role focuses on achieving revenue targets, expanding market presence, and ensuring effective execution of sales plans.


Key Responsibilities


Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve area revenue and growth targets
Manage, coach, and supervise a team of sales representatives or distributors
Identify new business opportunities and expand customer base within the territory
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
Ensure effective distribution, product availability, and visibility in the market
Track sales performance and prepare periodic reports for management
Set sales targets and KPIs for the team and monitor performance against goals
Coordinate with marketing and operations teams to execute campaigns and promotions
Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing, and credit guidelines


Required Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
4 - 8+ years of sales experience, with at least 2 - 3 years in a supervisory role
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Good understanding of the local market and distribution channels
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
