The company is seeking to hire a results-oriented Area Sales Manager (ASM) who will be responsible for driving sales growth, market penetration, and distribution effectiveness within an assigned territory. The role involves managing distributors and a field sales team to ensure achievement of volume, value, and coverage targets across FMCG products.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute area sales plans in alignment with the company's sales objectives.
Manage and supervise Sales Representatives to drive productivity and target achievement.
Appoint, manage, and monitor distributors within the assigned territory.
Ensure effective product availability, visibility, and distribution across all channels.
Track sales performance, market coverage, and route-to-market effectiveness.
Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence and insights.
Build strong relationships with key trade partners and major accounts.
Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and performance reviews for management.
Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing, and trade terms
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
5+ years of FMCG sales experience, with at least 2 years in an Area Sales or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of FMCG distribution models and trade execution.
Proven ability to manage distributors and field sales teams.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
