Purpose


This role involves the process of providing visual and creative direction for all communications materials for both the brand and its clients.
This includes illustrations, logos, layouts, photos, animation, motion graphics, GIFs, website design, print ads, digital billboard creatives, merchandising mock-ups, OOH creatives, and so on.


Responsibilities


Work collaboratively in studying briefs and defining the scope of work and timelines required.
Provide creative direction and conceptualize visual execution based on client's brief.
Present ideas and direction (internally and externally) defining the creative strategy and direction used.
Develop creatives, illustrations, website layouts, animations, videos, GIFs, motion graphics, logos etc according to the agreed direction.
Collaborate effectively with the copywriter and campaign manager to produce final designs.
Solicit for feedback from all applicable stakeholders on final designs and implement feedback as agreed.
Ensure designs comply to the brand/client's brand manual and guidelines (using appropriate fonts, colours, images, and other elements identified in the brand guidelines)
Test designs and videos on various platforms to ensure resolution and quality meet the requirements.
Work collaboratively to design brand manuals and guidelines as required.
Consistently research trends and innovations in the graphics and design space to ensure the brand is consistently up to date in proffering creative solutions.
Responsible for ensuring all the brand's designs (for the internal brand and clients) are uniform, consistent, visually appealing, and contemporary.

Core Competencies


A good portfolio of creative designs, animation, videos, etc., with proven experience working collaboratively to execute briefs
Ability to use various design tools such as CorelDraw, Photoshop, Illustrator Tools, Design Tools etc.
Ability to review and revise copy content as applicable, with strong communication and writing skills.
Ability to pay attention to detail and produce error-free designs.
Ability to work well within a team and collaborate effectively.
Ability to think outside the box and develop creative and cutting-edge designs and concepts.
Ability to meet set timelines.
A good attitude, accountability to self and others, and a can-do disposition
An owner-manager who can work with minimal supervision and escalations.


Qualifications


First degree in design, fine arts, communications, or any relevant social science course.
Relevant certifications and professional memberships will be an added advantage.


Experience:


7 years of experience in a similar role, experience in an advertising agency will be an added advantage.
