Job Summary
We are seeking experienced, safety-conscious, and reliable Articulated Truck Drivers to join our client's team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods using articulated trucks, while ensuring full compliance with road safety regulations and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Operate articulated trucks safely and efficiently for the movement of goods.
Ensure timely delivery of assigned loads to designated locations.
Inspect vehicles before and after trips to confirm roadworthiness.
Report faults, breakdowns, accidents, or maintenance needs promptly.
Ensure proper handling and security of goods in transit.
Maintain accurate trip records, delivery notes, and vehicle logs.
Comply with all traffic laws, transport regulations, and company safety standards.
Keep assigned vehicle clean and in good working condition.
Work closely with logistics and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery processes.
Requirements
Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification.
Proven experience as an Articulated Truck Driver.
Must possess a valid Class G Driver's License.
Good knowledge of road safety rules and vehicle handling.
Ability to carry out routine vehicle checks and identify basic faults.
Physically fit and capable of handling long-distance trips where required.
Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and punctuality.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Added Advantage:
Experience in logistics, haulage, or transportation operations
Good knowledge of routes within and across Nigeria
Valid training/certification in defensive driving or transport safety
