Job Advert Summary


We are looking for a qualified and motivated Millwright to join our team in Heilbron. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electromechanical maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, and continuous improvement activities to ensure optimal plant reliability and production efficiency.


Requirements


Trade tested Millwright
N levels in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or National Diploma in Engineering
Technical experience: PLC, SCADA, VSDs, electrical and mechanical fault finding, instrumentation and calibration, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, motor control, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors and process equipment
Own Toolbox
3+ years' experience in applying technical concepts in a food manufacturing plant
Willing to work overtime, shifts and do stand-by duties if necessary
Work in extreme conditions
Willing to work in confined spaces
Experience in working with spray drying equipment and processes will be advantageous

Duties and Responsibilities
Assemble, install, test and maintain any mechanical and electrical equipment


Maintain and repair of plant and equipment to ensure optimal reliability and availability
Conduct fault-finding and analysis of machine condition and failures
Optimize machines with pro-active approach to continuous improvement
Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures
Provide technical and specialist support to the maintenance and production team
Conduct all maintenance activities in accordance with GMP, food safety, quality, health and safety standards


Conduct ad-hoc activities


Conduct preventative maintenance and instrument verification/calibration according to prescribed schedules and work orders
Complete job cards and update records
Identify and implement opportunities for energy and cost saving through effective maintenance practices
Perform modifications in accordance with company policies and procedures
Participate in Way Better teams
