Preparation of food and Sales
Assist in the preparation of food and related products prepared for Learners.
Cutting, Cleaning and pre-preparation of food.
Assist in the preparation of cooked / warm foods if required.
Assist the Cook by giving input on food quality.
Assist in any reasonable way possible when required for special events.
Assist Cook / Chef in the preparation of foods if and when required.
Stand in for Cook if Cook off ill or not available.
Cleaning, Health and Safety and Related matters
Always ensure workspaces are kept clean.
Where appropriate attire related to dealing with food or food products.
Actively assist in the cleaning of equipment, the kitchen, and any related facilities.
Support the Cook with any ad-hoc Health and Safety and Hygienic requirements and always adhere to such requirements.
Personal commitment to education and a willingness to contribute to the values and ethos of the school.
Qualifications, experience and skills
Matric / Grade 12 Certification.
Formal cooking qualification.
Assistant Cook experience.
Energetic, positive approach to their work.
A clear criminal record.
