Minimum Requirements


An appropriate 3-year B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Accounting (with Auditing as a major subject); A minimum of 3-years' experience in Accounting environment; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence. Note: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities but have reasonable access to transport may also apply.


Key Performance Areas


Perform an in-depth analysis and compile a report of audit findings from the Auditor General South Africa (AGSA) reports in order to provide bespoke guidance; training and support to municipalities; Prepare the analysis of Consolidated Management Report Analysis to identify common issues for dissemination to municipalities; Engage and assist municipalities about progress on addressing issues raised by AGSA during the previous year audit to resolve and reduce audit findings; Assess the municipalities regarding their accounting process to comply with accounting reforms by using the Financial Management;
Capability and Maturity Model (FMCMM) that seeks to identify gaps that might pose risks soon; Conduct municipal engagements to discuss capabilities of municipalities with regard to the levels in respect of the current state and provide recommendations to the desired state; Monitor the municipalities progress on municipal governance action plans (FMCMM) ( encourage and assist the municipalities to perform self-assessment in order to address any gaps found within their processes and assist/advise them to build standard operating procedures to mitigate the gaps).
