Role Summary


KHF is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant IT and Communications Officer to manage the Federation's information technology infrastructure and lead its communications, digital presence, and member engagement initiatives. This is a dual-function role ideal for a professional who is equally comfortable troubleshooting network issues and designing compelling member newsletters.


Key Responsibilities
Information Technology


Manage and maintain KHF's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, hardware, and software systems.
Provide first-line technical support to staff, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and liaise with vendors for escalated support.
Oversee data security, backups, and IT policy compliance, including implementation of cybersecurity best practices.
Manage licenses, subscriptions, and procurement of IT equipment and services. Maintain and support KHF's website, intranet, and collaboration platforms (Microsoft 365 environment).
Support the setup and technical management of virtual and in-person events and webinars.


Communications


Develop and execute KHF's digital communications strategy across the website, email, and social media platforms.
Produce and disseminate member communications, including newsletters, advisories, and event invitations.
Create compelling multimedia content, graphics, and infographics aligned with KHF's brand identity.
Manage and grow KHF's social media presence and monitor engagement analytics. Support the production of policy documents, reports, presentations, and publications for internal and external audiences.
Maintain KHF's brand standards across all communication materials and member-facing platforms.


Qualifications & Requirements


Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years' experience in an IT support, communications, or hybrid IT/comms role, preferably in a membership organization, NGO, or professional association.
Experience managing websites (WordPress or similar CMS) and email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or equivalent).
Competence in graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Express, or equivalent).
Understanding of networking, cloud services, and IT security fundamentals.
Strong writing and editing skills; ability to produce clear, professional content for diverse audiences.
Experience with social media management tools and analytics platforms.
