Assistant Manager – Mixed Farming at Farm Managers SA

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


Agricultural Diploma/Degree advantageous
Farming background essential
Minimum 3 years of farming experience


Previous experience with:


Cropping - maize & soya
Livestock - cattle
Computer literate
Proven experience working with large combine harvesters and planting equipment
Previous drone crop spraying experience
Remote Pilots Licence advantageous
Somebody who can take ownership, come up with new ideas, and works independently and proactively
Being mechanically & maintenance orientated
Ability to work with and motivate staff essential
Valid driver's license


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:


See that planting equipment and Poison Spray remain in good condition
Supervise planting process and spraying
Do the harvesting in person at harvest time with JD Harvester
Gradually get involved in cattle farming
Any other duty that may come into question.
