WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As Assistant Manager, you will be a key operational leader within APMDC's Clearing & Forwarding division. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading day-to-day operations across customs documentation, tariff classification, and duty payment processing — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and speed at every step.
Serving as APMDC's primary liaison with the Nigeria Customs Service, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and relevant government agencies to facilitate seamless, timely cargo release.
Mentoring and managing junior operational staff within the Clearing & Forwarding unit, building team capacity and maintaining high performance standards.
Overseeing shipment schedules and bonded warehouse transfers, providing clients with full end-to-end cargo visibility and proactive communication at every milestone.
Ensuring full regulatory compliance with all applicable trade regulations, current import/export legislation, with zero tolerance for deviation.
Preparing and presenting operational reports to senior management, contributing data-driven insights to strategic decision-making.
