Job Summary:

The successful candidates will be reporting to the Dean, the School of Science and Technology (SST) and will be expected to teach, conduct research and engage in service performance.

Key Responsibilities


Teach at undergraduate and graduate levels in the specific areas of specialization as listed above.
Support and mentor students in their career endeavors.
Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure that the programs are up-to-date and marketable.
Participate in program assessment and reviews.
Supervise students' research (projects/ thesis/ dissertations) at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Engage in research in one's area of expertise.
Engage in service to the University, the profession and to the community.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.


Minimum Educational Qualifications and Professional Experience


A Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant area from an accredited University.
At least 3 years of teaching/research experience at the university level as a Lecturer/Research Fellow.
A minimum of thirty-two (32) publication points as a Lecturer/Research Fellow as per the CUE Standards & Guidelines, 2014, of which at least twenty-four (24) should be from refereed scholarly journals.
Supervised at least four (4) postgraduate students to completion as Lecturer/Research Fellow;
Be registered by the relevant professional body, where applicable.
