Assistant Route Technician at Octotel

Job Duties:


Prepping and cleaning the site.
Install the network infrastructure and equipment as per site plan.
Responsible for the electrical and hand tool inventory to be used.
Delivering and distributing supplies (expect some heavy lifting).
Assisting workers with Equipment.
Assembling and disassembling equipment.
Learning new skills from experienced Technicians.
Monitor and maintain stock.
And any other reasonable task.


Requirements


Matric Certificate or equivalent
Tertiary level IT or Telecommunications qualification is preferred
1 years' experience performing fibre splicing and/or installations.
A CFOT certificate is advantageous
Valid code 8 driver's license is essential
Experience using power-tools.
