Associate Principal Engineer (Copy) at Distro

This role is deliberately the rung where you prove you can hold technical direction through credibility rather than title.

You will need:


Roughly 8 - 12 years of hands-on software engineering, with recent time at senior or staff scope where other engineers depended on what you owned
Deep expertise on one of our platforms: JavaScript and TypeScript with Node.js, Express, and Angular; or .NET with C#, ASP.NET Core, and Web API
Real experience designing REST APIs or microservices rather than only consuming them
Strong SQL and data modeling ability
Testing discipline across unit, integration, and functional levels
Demonstrated ownership of a subsystem or service in production, including the consequences of your own design decisions
Code review leadership and mentoring of senior and mid-level engineers
Ability to debug across tiers under pressure and reason from symptom to root cause
