Children's Ages: 3 year old - Boy
Working hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12:30/ 13:00 - 17:00
School holiday hours: Same as above / Slightly Flexible
Duties: Meet at home at this stage, collection from school may be required at a later stage. Provide general care and supervision, educational stimulation and play activities, facilitate outings every now and then for him to get out and explore. Preparing light snacks or meals, ensuring his bags are packed and ready for the next day. Family's preference would be around the Waldorf-inspired, gentle parenting approach. Light household support relating to the child may be required where appropriate.
Special Requirements: The ideal candidate should align with a Waldorf-based parenting philosophy, with openness to Reggio Emilia approaches. Montessori experience or methodology is not suitable for this family. The family is looking for a warm, gentle, creative, and intuitive caregiver who can bring fresh ideas into the child's learning and play environment. Slight flexibility is always welcomed.
Start Date and contract term: 1 July - permanent
Salary: R9000pm (Gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.95)
All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:
Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
Must have a clear criminal record
Must have a passion for children
Must have Matric
Must have a South African ID document.
