Working hours: Monday - Friday: 15h00 - 19h00, flexibility is needed to assist with teen transport between 18h00 and 23h00 on Friday or Saturday evenings. Candidate must remain available for these evenings.
A family is looking for an AU PAIR for their children aged 6 year and 4 years old
Area: Stellenbosch
Ages: children aged 6 year and 4 years old
Working hours: Monday - Friday: 15h00 - 19h00, flexibility is needed to assist with teen transport between 18h00 and 23h00 on Friday or Saturday evenings. Candidate must remain available for these evenings.
School holidays: Flexibility during school holidays but ideally the candidate is available, this can be discussed on a per holiday basis
Duties: Transport children between school, home, and extra-mural activities. Assist with homework, projects, and test preparation. Liaise with teachers on children's progress where needed. Prepare and serve meals. Engage children in intellectually stimulating play and developmentally appropriate activities. Plan fun and creative activities.
Take children to appointments and other scheduled outings. Use petty cash, petrol card, or family credit card to purchase supplies. Manage shopping for children's needs. Assist with bath-time routines when needed. Babysit and work some weekends (by prior arrangement). Accompany and manage children on outings and playdates. Run errands for the family. Maintain positive communication with parents and staff. Help children organize school bags, stationery, and bedrooms, while teaching tidying habits. Babysitting with prior notice.
Requirements: energetic, fun, flexible
Start date: January 2027 start - permanent contract
Salary: Minimum 1 years Au Pair experience: R7500 - R8000 per month plus SARS rates per km.
2 years plus Au Pair experience: R9000 - R10 000 per month plus SARS rates per km.


All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:


Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal childcare experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
Must have their own, reliable car and at least 12 months driving experience.
Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
Must have a clear criminal record
Must have a passion for children
Must have Matric
Must have a South African ID document.
