Role Objective:


Our client is seeking an Audio Assistant to join their team in a full-time, in-person capacity. The ideal candidate will be technically skilled, hands-on, and highly organized, with practical experience in sound engineering, live events, broadcasting, and technical equipment management.


Core Duties and Responsibilities


Carry out comprehensive equipment checks and sound tests before events to identify and resolve technical issues in advance.
Operate and monitor audio systems during live broadcasts, concerts, corporate functions, and other productions.
Adjust sound levels, signal processing, and other audio settings to achieve clear and balanced output while taking into consideration venue acoustics and surrounding noise.
Prepare, install, position, secure, and connect audio, video, lighting, and related event equipment.
Assist with the recording and capture of high-quality speech, music, and other audio content.
Convert analogue recordings into digital formats and support post-production editing requirements.
Support the deployment, operation, and management of LED display systems used in live event environments.
Carry out routine inspection, servicing, and basic troubleshooting of technical equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition.
Ensure all equipment is handled, stored, and transported safely and efficiently.
Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure smooth execution of productions.
Perform any other duties related to the role as assigned.

Job Specifications and Qualifications


Diploma/ Degree in Sound Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in audio, sound engineering, broadcasting, live events, or a related technical environment.
Candidates with additional relevant qualifications or extensive practical experience will have an added advantage.
