Our client is seeking to recruit a skilled and reliable Baker to support the operations of an upcoming bakery kiosk and shop in Eastleigh, Nairobi. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of bakery products while ensuring high standards of product quality, consistency, hygiene, and food safety.
The ideal candidate should be passionate about baking and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and bake bread, pastries, cakes, and other bakery products according to standard recipes.
Ensure product quality, consistency, and freshness of all baked goods.
Measure and mix ingredients accurately to maintain recipe standards.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the baking area in line with food safety regulations.
Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure quality output.
Assist in inventory control of baking ingredients and supplies.
Ensure proper storage and handling of bakery ingredients and finished products.
Work closely with shop staff to ensure timely availability of baked products for customers.
Qualifications & Requirements
Certificate or training in Baking / Pastry / Food Production is an added advantage.
Minimum 1 - 2 years' experience working in a bakery or food production environment.
Knowledge of bread, pastries, and general bakery production.
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to work early shifts and in a fast-paced environment.
Good organizational and teamwork skills.
