Job Summary
The Bakery Production Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising daily bakery production activities to ensure consistent product quality, efficient resource utilisation, minimal wastage, and timely availability of products for sale.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate daily production schedules based on sales forecasts and demand.
Ensure strict adherence to approved recipes and production standards.
Monitor product quality and consistency across all bakery items.
Supervise bakery production staff and assign daily tasks.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Monitor raw material consumption and minimize wastage.
Coordinate with procurement and store teams to ensure availability of ingredients.
Maintain accurate production records and reports.
Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs promptly.
Ensure products are produced within specified timelines.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.
Train production staff on best practices and quality standards.
Qualifications & Experience
HND or Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Production Management, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in bakery or food production operations.
Experience in commercial bakery production is highly desirable.
