Job Purpose:
The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving quality coffee and other beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and delivering excellent customer service to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffee and tea drinks, in accordance with company recipes and standards.
Operate coffee brewing equipment and espresso machines safely and efficiently.
Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process payments through the POS system.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, counters, equipment, and seating areas.
Restock inventory and supplies such as cups, lids, coffee beans, milk, and condiments as needed.
Educate customers on drink options, ingredients, and loyalty programs when applicable.
Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
Handle customer feedback or complaints professionally and escalate where necessary.
Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service delivery.
Requirements
Certificate or Diploma in a hospitality related field.
Previous experience as a barista in a reputable establishment.
Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and drink preparation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
Friendly, energetic, and customer-focused personality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
