Job Summary
Adkan Services Nigeria Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Batching Plant Operator / Technician to manage and operate concrete batching plant equipment.
The ideal candidate must have proven hands-on experience and will ensure accurate mixing, quality control, and efficient production of concrete in line with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and control batching plant equipment for concrete production.
Ensure accurate measurement and mixing of raw materials (cement, aggregates, water, additives).
Monitor plant operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of plant machinery.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
Maintain records of production, materials used, and equipment performance.
Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to meet production demands.
Inspect raw materials and finished concrete to ensure quality standards are met.
Report faults, breakdowns, and operational issues promptly.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of OND / HND qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
3 - 5 years proven experience operating a batching plant or similar industrial equipment (mandatory).
Strong knowledge of concrete production processes and materials.
Ability to operate automated batching systems and control panels.
Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Good understanding of workplace health and safety standards.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical certification in plant operation or maintenance.
Experience in construction or ready-mix concrete industry.
Familiarity with batching software and automated systems.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
