  • Financial Record Management: Accurately and efficiently record all financial transactions, including income, expenses, and other financial activities, using industry-leading accounting software.
  • General Ledger Mastery: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by performing regular reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies with precision.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing valuable insights to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Seamless Payroll Processing: Manage the entire payroll process, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and timely payments.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable Excellence: Efficiently manage accounts payable and receivable, fostering strong relationships with vendors and clients while ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Bank Reconciliation & Accuracy: Perform meticulous bank reconciliations to identify and resolve any discrepancies, ensuring the accuracy of our financial records.
  • Budgeting & Financial Monitoring: Assist in tracking budgets, analyzing variances, and providing recommendations for adjustments to optimize financial performance.
  • Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure strict adherence to financial regulations and provide support during internal and external audits.
  • Expense Management & Optimization: Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to improve financial efficiency.
  • Tax Collaboration: Partner with accountants to prepare and file accurate tax returns, ensuring compliance and minimizing tax liabilities.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

Must-Haves:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting or finance is highly desirable.
  • Proven proficiency in popular accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks.
  • Solid understanding of fundamental bookkeeping principles and best practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, impeccable organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with vendors and clients.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Professional certification as a bookkeeper or accounting technician (e.g., CPB or AAT).
  • Relevant experience within [industry-specific context, e.g., retail, healthcare, or nonprofit organizations].
  • Familiarity with cloud-based accounting solutions or ERP systems.
  • Strong multitasking abilities to manage multiple accounts and projects effectively.
