Job Description


The ideal team player will be responsible for the effective management of a profitable retail business in order to sustain the customer's needs. Maintain and build strong relationships and trust among the leaders of each division in your team and the larger VKB family.

Requirements


Grade 12/ NQF 4
Preference will be given to candidates who hold a degree in a management-related field.
Proven Track record in the positive management of an agri-business will be compulsory
Ability to manage medium to large teams
Willing to work afterhours as and when required based on operational requirements
Effective and clear delegation of tasks and monitoring thereof
Ability to work independently, lead projects and solve problems
The suitable candidate must have 3-5 years of experience in a retail-related environment


Duties and Responsibilities


Drive and practice VKB values and strategic objectives

Financial management of business unit and budget forecasting
Management of strategic objectives
Customer service management and relationships
Expanding and growing market share
Manage trade processes; safety and risks and supplies
Willingness to take business and pursue new opportunities
Collaborate with other divisions and management to promote business
Create and maintain steadfastness and trust among staff and customers
Delegate tasks effectively and monitor performance


Essential Industry Knowledge:

Candidates must have:


A solid background in irrigation systems
Experience with animal feed and agricultural medicine
Sound knowledge of seed and fertiliser products
