PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Our Internship Program offers highly motivated individuals an opportunity to gain work experience in our office locations in a highly professional environment. It is designed to provide an inspiring experience, develop leadership attributes in young adults and assist them in realising their full potential.
TYPES OF INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Undergraduate Internship (6months)
The Undergraduate Internship Program is for candidates currently pursuing a university or polytechnic degree. The prospective candidate must have completed at least the first year of university or polytechnic in the following fields of study:
Engineering
Admin/ Accounting
Quality Assurance/ Quality Control
Sciences (Pure Science and Environmental)
Social Sciences/Arts
Commercial
Graduate Internship
The Graduate programs are open to fresh graduates seeking work experience while waiting for NYSC posting/law school placement, or who are in the NYSC scheme.
Eligibility
Have a minimum of second class upper degree in the Field Specified above
Be a pre-NYSC or a serving Corps member
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Internship duration is a maximum of 1 year
SELECTION PROCESS
Applications will be assessed based on a candidate's academic qualifications, leadership experience, professional experience, and extracurricular activities. Selected applicants will be invited for an interview.
The choice of a physical interview or a telephone/ virtual interview will be granted to applicants. The organisation will notify prospective candidates of its decision within ten (5) working days after the interview stage.
Selection will be made without regard to ethnicity, colour, religion, sex, marital status, or physical disability.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Eligible applicants must:
Be a Nigerian citizen
Be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program at a university or polytechnic, or a graduate of a University/Polytechnic in Nigeria
Have school authorisation and approval for Industrial Training
Have a CGPA of 3.5 and above

ENGAGEMENT PROCESS
An intern's performance will be assessed and evaluated throughout the Internship period based on, but not limited to: written reports and briefs, presentation, comportment, ability to work within teams and independently. In addition, a mentor will be assigned to the intern, to whom the intern will submit a weekly report of work done.
Depending on the intern's performance, the organisation may issue an official letter of recommendation based on the Intern's request.
CANDIDATES OBLIGATIONS
Interns are expected to actively participate in all assigned tasks and departments, demonstrate professionalism, and contribute positively to BSV INDUSTRIES's operations. They are responsible for adhering to company policies, maintaining confidentiality, and respecting workplace safety standards. Interns should seek guidance when needed, complete assignments on time, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow throughout the program.
Key expectations include:
Punctuality and Attendance: Interns must be present during scheduled work hours and notify supervisors of any absence.
Professional Conduct: Maintain respectful communication with colleagues and supervisors and adhere to BSV INDUSTRIES's code of conduct.
Active Learning: Show initiative in learning from tasks, asking questions, and applying knowledge gained across departments.
Compliance: Follow all company rules, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
Confidentiality: Treat company information, data, and processes as confidential and handle them responsibly.
Reporting and Feedback: Provide regular updates on assigned tasks and participate in evaluations and reviews.
MANAGEMENTS OBLIGATIONS
Management is responsible for ensuring the internship aligns with the intern's learning objectives by providing meaningful departmental exposure. They will give an initial orientation to introduce the company's operations, policies, and safety procedures, maintain a safe working environment with necessary instructions and protective equipment, provide the intern with the necessary work tools, and monitor performance while giving feedback to support learning and professional development.
Supervision and Mentorship
Each department will assign a supervisor or mentor to guide the intern.
The supervisor will provide task assignments and practical exposure.
The intern will receive feedback on performance and learning progress (Weekly feedback).
PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
Monthly Evaluation Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
The intern will be evaluated based on:
Learning Ability: This measures how well the intern understands new instructions, processes, and departmental procedures, and how effectively they apply what they have been taught during their training period.
Work Attitude: This measures the intern's level of seriousness towards work, including punctuality, respect for supervisors and colleagues, willingness to work, and overall professionalism in the workplace.
Participation in Tasks: This measures how actively the intern engages in assigned departmental duties, supports ongoing activities, and shows readiness to assist with operational tasks when required.
Communication Skills: This measures how clearly and appropriately the intern communicates with supervisors and team members, including asking questions when instructions are unclear and providing feedback on assigned tasks.
Compliance with Safety and Company Policies: This measures how consistently the intern follows workplace safety rules, uses required protective equipment where applicable, and adheres to company procedures and departmental guidelines.
FINAL EVALUATION
At the end of the program, a final assessment will be conducted to determine:
Overall performance
Strengths and development areas
Department best suited to the intern's skills
CONCLUSION
For the Undergraduate Internship Program, interns who demonstrate satisfactory performance will be awarded a Certificate of Completion. Where performance falls below the required standard, the internship will be concluded, and the individual will be formally released with best wishes for their continued academic pursuits.
For the Graduate Internship Program, interns who exhibit exceptional performance and professional conduct may be awarded a Certificate of Completion and considered for full-time employment, subject to organisational needs and approval. Where the required standards are not met, the internship will be concluded, and a Certificate of Completion will be issued accordingly.
