Duties


The Bursar, as one of the Principal Officers of the College, and as the Chief Financial Officer of the College, he/she is responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day financial administration of the College;
He/She is expected to, among other responsibilities, plan, organize, direct, and coordinate the operations of the financial system of the College Bursary Department, in accordance with the government financial regulations, treasury circulars, and the Governing Council's decisions/directives; and
He/she will be expected to coordinate the preparation, submission, and defence of the College's annual personnel, overhead, and capital budget estimates.


Requirements
The candidate must possess the following:


A good Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy/Finance from a recognized institution of higher learning;
Must possess a good Master's degree in Accounting/Finance from a recognized Institution of higher learning with at least eighteen (18) years of cognate work experience in a College of Education system.
Possession of a Doctorate Degree is an added advantage
Must be a member of a recognized Professional body, ICAN, ANAN, etc.
Must have been a Deputy Bursar on CONTEDISS 15.Evidence of a Continuous Mandatory Professional Development (CMPD);
Evidence of Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT); and The Successful candidate must not be above the age of Fifty-nine (59) years at the time of taking up the appointment.


Vision and Mission Statement:


The candidate must submit in clear terms, in not more than two (2) pages, his/her vision statement for the College, in particular the Bursary department, in the next 5 years.


Tenure of Appointment
The appointment is for a single term of five years only, beginning from the effective date of appointment.

The successful candidate will be entitled to the privileges and benefits of Principal officers as specified in the Terms and Conditions of Services for the Federal Colleges of Education in Nigeria.
