Position Overview
We are looking for an Entry-Level Business Analyst to support technology and business transformation projects within a banking environment. The role will work closely with business users, project teams, developers, testers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs, document requirements, support solution design, and assist with successful implementation of technology solutions.
The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in banking, technology, business processes, and digital transformation, with good analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in gathering and documenting business and system requirements from users and stakeholders.
Participate in stakeholder interviews, workshops, meetings, and requirement-gathering sessions.
Document business processes, workflows, user requirements, and functional requirements.
Assist in preparing Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), user stories, use cases, and process flows.
Analyse existing business processes and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Work with technical teams to translate business requirements into clear and understandable system requirements.
Support projects involving core banking systems, digital banking channels, payments, integrations, data, reporting, and process automation.
Assist in analysing system changes, enhancements, and new functionality.
Work closely with QA/Test teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and adequately covered by test scenarios and test cases.
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist business users in validating implemented solutions.
Support defect clarification and resolution by providing business and functional context to technical teams.
Maintain requirements traceability and ensure changes to requirements are properly documented.
Prepare meeting minutes, action trackers, status updates, and project documentation.
Conduct basic data analysis to support business decisions and project requirements.
Assist with impact analysis when changes are proposed to existing systems or processes.
Support project teams during implementation, deployment, and post-implementation activities.
Ensure project documentation is maintained accurately throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
0 - 2 years of experience in Business Analysis, IT, software development, testing, project support, or a related technology environment.
Fresh graduates with relevant academic projects, internships, or technology exposure may be considered.
Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Basic understanding of business process analysis and requirements gathering.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Desired Technical / Professional Skills
Ability to create basic process flows and workflow diagrams.
Understanding of BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
Basic knowledge of SQL and databases is an added advantage.
Basic understanding of APIs, system integrations, and data flows is an advantage.
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, Draw.io, or similar tools is an advantage.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies is an advantage.
Exposure to banking or financial services systems is an advantage.
