The Business Development and Fundraising lead will lead the sourcing, pursuit, and acquisition of strategic fundraising and partnership opportunities to support AB Entheos' growth across its core thematic areas: Insurance for coexistence with nature, Nature Advisory and Consumer education (ResilientME!). The role involves market intelligence, proposal development, donor/partner engagement, and co-creation of innovative project concepts aligned with our mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:


Fundraising & Resource mobilization
Identify and track funding opportunities (grants, contracts, partnerships) from donors, foundations, multilaterals, development finance institutions (DFIs), and impact investors.
Develop concept notes, grant proposals, and expressions of interest tailored to the
nature coexistence & conservation, inclusive insurance, and climate resilience fields.
Work closely with technical teams to co-create compelling project ideas and budgets.
Maintain a fundraising pipeline and contribute to the achievement of annual fundraising targets.
Strategic partnership development
Cultivate and manage relationships with potential partners, including NGOs, government agencies, think tanks, research institutions, and private sector actors.
Represent AB Entheos in partner and donor meetings, webinars, and conferences to position the organization as a thought leader.
Support the negotiation and formalization of MOUs, consortiums, and subgrantee/contractor agreements.
Market Intelligence
Monitor policy and funding trends across AB Entheos' key thematic areas:
Insurance for coexistence with Nature
Nature advisory
Consumer education
Identify opportunities for research, technical assistance, and advisory service delivery.
Develop strategic briefs, opportunity analyses, and internal reports.
Internal coordination and proposal Development
Lead and coordinate the proposal development process across the key thematic lines of business
Maintain an active pipeline of potential opportunities that AB Entheos could apply for across the key thematic areas.
Maintain a database of concept notes, past proposals, partner profiles, and donor templates.
Facilitate internal learning and capture of best practices in business development.
Branding and visibility
Contribute to the preparation of organizational profiles, decks, and capability statements.
Work with the communications team to align outreach materials with Business
Development objectives.
Support storytelling and impact narratives to attract new partners and funders.


Qualifications and experience:


Bachelor's degree in international development, Business, Environment, Economics, or related fields. Master's degree is an added advantage.
At least 3 - 5 years of experience in business development, fundraising, or donor engagement in the development, nature, or insurance sectors.
Demonstrated success in securing government and donor funding contracts.
Experience with proposal writing, budgeting, and coordinating multi-partner submissions.
