The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth and market expansion for a reputable diagnostic clinic with over two decades of operation in Nigeria.
The role focuses on developing and managing strategic relationships with hospitals, Corporate organizations, and key healthcare stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will identify new business opportunities, negotiate service agreements and retainerships, and expand referral networks across public and private healthcare institutions.
The role requires a strong understanding of Nigeria's healthcare ecosystem, corporate health schemes, pricing structures, and regulatory requirements affecting diagnostic services.
The Business Development Manager will work closely with clinical, finance, and operations teams to align business strategies with service delivery capacity, quality assurance, and turnaround time expectations.
Responsibilities also include market intelligence gathering, competitor analysis, proposal preparation, and ensuring client satisfaction and contract renewals.
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills, with a proven ability to grow accounts and sustain long-term partners.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and manage business opportunities with hospitals, and corporate organizations.
Initiate and negotiate service-level agreements, retainerships, and diagnostic service contracts.
Build and maintain strong referral relationships with healthcare professionals and institutions.
Drive client acquisition, account growth, renewals, and contract retention.
Collaborate with clinical, operations, and finance teams to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations and agreed turnaround times.
Prepare business proposals, presentations, and periodic performance reports for management.
Represent the organization at industry meetings, corporate engagements, and networking events.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
A Master's degree or professional certification in Sales, Marketing, or Healthcare Management is an added advantage.
Required Experience:
5 - 8 years' experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management within the healthcare or diagnostic services sector.
Proven experience working with hospitals, HMOs, and corporate health clients in Nigeria.
Strong understanding of corporate health schemes, and diagnostic service pricing in the Nigerian market.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and close high-value business deals.
