Job Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to develop and execute a strategic delivery plan across the Bank and the wider Equity Group, strengthening relationships with FaithÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂBased Institutions (FBIs) and related organizations. The role will drive customer acquisition, retention, and sustainable revenue growth through the effective promotion and sale of the Bank's products and services, as well as leveraged offerings from affiliated licenses, including Insurance, Investment services, and the Equity Group Foundation. The role will champion integrated value propositions that address the financial, social, and development needs of faithÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂbased institutions, while deepening partnerships and advancing the Group's inclusive growth agenda.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development Manager Faith-Based Sector
Support implementation of the sector strategy across the branch network to drive business growth and collaboration.
Ensure compliance with AML/KYC, CTF, and all regulatory and bank requirements.
Drive growth of deposits, current accounts, collections business, and digital financial services within the sector.
Manage onboarding, relationship management, and service delivery to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Identify and convert new business opportunities while deepening existing client relationships.
Oversee customer portfolio management and provide advisory support to clients and Relationship Managers.
Monitor sector trends and opportunities within Churches and Faith-Based Institutions locally and internationally.
Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to Relationship Managers and support development of sector champions across the network.
Qualifications
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in commerce/business related field/Theology
Masters is an added advantage
10 years in leadership Exposure (Have Served as a Bishop/Pastor/Priest/Catechist/Reverend within the last 3 years
Licensed minister.
Training or practical experience in Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) frameworks.

Strong knowledge of core banking products: deposits, lending, transactional and digital banking

Understanding of Investment & Wealth products (unit trusts, endowments, institutional investments)
Ability to integrate Equity Group Foundation programs (financial literacy, social impact, empowerment) into client value propositions

Strong pipeline development, deal structuring, and portfolio growth skills
Sound understanding of risk, compliance, KYC, AML, mandates, and borrowing powers
