Job Summary


We are looking for a motivated Business Development Executive to help grow our client base and drive revenue. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships, and closing deals.


Key Responsibilities


Identify and pursue new business opportunities across both private and commercial customer segments.
Develop and execute a business development strategy in line with the company's sales and revenue targets.
Build and maintain relationships with key clients, including contractors, property developers, real estate firms, and retail distributors.
Conduct market research to track competitor activity, pricing trends, and emerging customer needs.
Prepare and present business proposals and product offerings to prospective clients.
Negotiate and close sales agreements in accordance with the company's pricing and credit policies.
Coordinate with the Sales and Marketing team to ensure leads are followed up and converted effectively.
Represent the company at trade exhibitions, industry events, and client meetings.
Provide the Business Manager with regular updates on pipeline status, deals closed, and market intelligence.
Support the development of new product lines or distribution channels as directed.
Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Business Manager.


Requirements


Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
5 - 7 years' experience in business development or sales (energy/technical sector preferred)
Strong understanding of the Lagos market
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
