Hawaa Farms is a fast-growing livestock startup committed to building a strong presence in the Southwest Nigeria agricultural market. We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead sales growth, market expansion, customer acquisition, and brand visibility across multiple channels. The role requires a hands-on professional who can operate effectively in a startup environment and drive commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
Drive sales growth across the farm's livestock product lines and distribution channels.
Identify and develop new business opportunities, customers, and partnerships.
Travel regularly between the farm and sales locations to increase market penetration and customer engagement.
Develop and implement business development, sales, and marketing strategies to support revenue growth.
Conduct market research and analysis on demand trends, pricing, competitors, and customer needs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
Lead business negotiations and support strategic partnerships and commercial agreements.
Manage the farm's social media platforms, branding, and content creation to improve visibility and engagement.
Develop and implement customer acquisition and retention strategies.
Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for client sourcing, engagement, and relationship management.
Prepare periodic sales, market, and business development reports for management.
Monitor business risks and provide recommendations to support sustainable growth.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in livestock sales, agribusiness, marketing, or business development.
Strong understanding of the livestock market in Southwest Nigeria.
Experience in social media management, digital marketing, and content creation.
Excellent communication, negotiation, networking, and relationship management skills.
Strong commercial awareness, analytical ability, and strategic thinking.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a startup environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.
Willingness to travel regularly for business development activities.
Formal qualifications in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or related fields will be an added advantage.
