ROLE OVERVIEW
The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of Synergy Clinics' business growth strategy, identifying new revenue opportunities, building strategic partnerships, strengthening existing relationships and turning market opportunities into measurable results.
The role requires a blend of commercial acumen, healthcare-sector understanding, relationship management and data-driven decision-making to support sustainable growth while upholding the organisation's reputation and values.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Develop and implement the annual business development strategy.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and risks.
Identify new markets, services, products and revenue streams.
Develop business cases for new services, partnerships and expansion opportunities.
Build and maintain relationships with corporates, insurers, employers, government agencies, development partners and other strategic stakeholders.
Lead negotiations for strategic partnerships, contracts and commercial agreements.
Monitor client satisfaction and identify opportunities for account growth.
Develop initiatives to increase patient volumes, corporate business and insurance-related revenue.
Work with relevant teams to strengthen market positioning and brand visibility.
Identify opportunities for community outreach, corporate wellness programmes and strategic healthcare initiatives.
Analyse business development trends and provide actionable recommendations to management.
Establish and monitor KPIs for business development activities.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Healthcare Management, Commerce, Economics or a related field.
Master's degree or professional qualification is an added advantage.
At least 7 years' relevant experience, preferably including 3+ years in a managerial or senior business development role.
Proven experience in business development, strategic partnerships, sales or commercial growth.
Understanding of the Kenyan healthcare market and payer ecosystem is an advantage.
Demonstrated track record of achieving measurable business growth.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, public relations and communication skills.
