Position Description
The role will be responsible for developing and executing B2B cash business opportunities within Nigeria, while also supporting the identification and securing of export opportunities from Nigeria into Francophone and Anglophone markets across West and North Africa. The Business Development Manager will serve as a key commercial driver, responsible for originating, structuring, and closing new business initiatives aligned with the company's growth strategy.
The successful candidate will be a commercially experienced professional with a strong track record in building partnerships, penetrating new markets, and delivering sustainable revenue growth through proactive business development and relationship management.

People and Partner Management
Coordinate and work with internal teams and partner channels to achieve agreed volume and revenue targets.
Drive growth in both transaction volume and cash value across existing and new partner channels.
Support cross-functional collaboration with operations, finance, logistics, and compliance teams to enable successful deal execution.
Strategic Sales and Growth
Identify, develop and close new B2B cash revenue opportunities within Nigeria.
Support the development of export-led business opportunities into Francophone and Anglophone markets in West and North Africa.
Deliver sales volume, revenue growth, and market share at optimized cost levels.
Develop and execute growth strategies focused on financial performance, market expansion, and customer satisfaction.
Evaluate, prioritize, and pipeline opportunities to ensure focus on high-value and high-impact prospects.
Client and Stakeholder Relations
Build, manage, and sustain strong relationships with existing clients, prospective customers, partners, regulators, and industry influencers.
Expand the client base through targeted prospecting, market mapping, and structured engagement plans.
Act as a trusted commercial partner to clients, ensuring long-term value creation and repeat business.
Product and Market Expertise
Develop deep knowledge of the company's products, services and cash value propositions.
Monitor competitive activity and market trends , adapting commercial approaches accordingly.
Conduct market research to identify customer needs, business strengths, pricing opportunities, and sustainable income streams.
Operational and Contract Management
Lead the preparation and coordination of proposals, bids, tenders, and commercial submissions.
Participate in negotiations for new business agreements, ensuring favorable commercial and risk outcomes.
Work closely with legal and finance teams to ensure contracts comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Performance and Reporting
Prepare regular analytical, pipeline, and performance reports for senior management.
Provide clear updates on business wins, revenue forecasts, risks, challenges, and corrective actions required.
Track performance against agreed KPIs and recommend improvements to enhance results.
Industry and Market Intelligence
Stay informed on local, regional, and international industry trends, trade policies, and regulatory developments.
Proactively identify emerging opportunities and risks within Nigeria and regional export markets.
Resource and Opportunity Management
Support the identification and management of bids, grants, donations, and strategic funding opportunities aligned with business objectives.
Ensure efficient utilization of resources to maximize return on investment.

Requirements
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or a relevant field.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Business development, Sales management or Key account management.
Proven experience driving new business initiatives and meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
Strong commercial acumen with a continuous improvement mindset.
Experience operating in fast-paced environments and partnering with senior business leaders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong tact, diplomacy, and negotiation capability.
Strong analytical and reporting skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suites.
Ability to manage multiple client accounts and priorities simultaneously.
Demonstrated success in negotiating and closing client contracts and delivering client-focused solutions.
