Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven and commercially minded Business Development Officer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, generating leads, securing contracts and driving revenue growth across the Oil & Gas and Marine sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, research, and develop new business opportunities within the Oil & Gas, Marine, Maritime, Offshore and Energy sectors.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, contractors, operators and industry stakeholders.
Ability to identify potential clients, projects, contracts and commercial opportunities.
Conduct market research to identify emerging business opportunities, market trends, competitors and potential areas for expansion.
Develop and maintain a robust business development pipeline and regularly provide updates on prospective opportunities.
Prepare and deliver company presentations, capability statements, proposals, quotations and commercial offers to prospective clients.
Monitor and participate in relevant RFQs, RFPs and procurement opportunities.
Follow up on submitted quotations, proposals and business opportunities to improve conversion rates.
Negotiate commercial terms with clients and support the successful closing of contracts.
Develop strategic partnerships and maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, consultants and other industry stakeholders.
Prepare regular business development reports, sales forecasts and pipeline updates for management.
Monitor competitor activities and provide recommendations to management on market positioning and business growth strategies.
Support the company's overall revenue generation and business expansion objectives.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Economics, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing within the Oil & Gas, Marine, Maritime, Offshore, Energy or related industries.
Proven track record of generating leads, developing client relationships and securing new business.
Strong understanding of the Oil & Gas and/or Marine industry and its business environment.
Experience with RFQ, RFP, proposals, quotations and contract opportunities is highly preferred.
Experience with vessels will be an added advantage.
Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify profitable business opportunities.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
Strong networking and client relationship management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
Ability to meet and exceed business development and revenue targets.
