Role Overview


The Business Development Officer is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and developing strategic partnerships with key FMCG beverage companies, including International Breweries, Nigerian Breweries, and Guinness Nigeria.
The role involves identifying business opportunities, executing sales strategies, and strengthening distribution channels.


Key Responsibilities


Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting key accounts within the beverage sector.
Identify new market opportunities and partnerships to drive revenue growth.
Create tailored business proposals and value propositions for each brewery client.
Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers in International Breweries, Nigerian Breweries, and Guinness Nigeria.
Serve as the primary liaison between the company and key clients.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements.
Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
Drive product penetration and visibility across distribution channels.
Monitor competitor activities and adjust strategies accordingly.
Conduct market research to identify trends, pricing dynamics, and consumer behavior.
Analyze sales data and prepare performance reports for management.
Provide insights to improve product positioning and market share.
Expand and optimize distribution networks (retail, wholesale, on-trade, off-trade).
Ensure product availability and visibility in key outlets.
Work closely with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure efficient delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements


Bachelor's Degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field.
3 - 5 years' experience in FMCG sales or business development (preferably beverages/alcohol).
Strong network within the Nigerian beverage industry is an advantage.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
