Job Summary


We are seeking a driven and commercially minded Business Development Officer to support business growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and promoting renewable energy solutions to commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. The successful candidate will contribute to revenue generation, market expansion, and customer acquisition initiatives within the energy sector.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales


Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the renewable energy and power sectors.
Generate leads and convert prospects into clients.
Support the development and execution of sales and business growth strategies.
Promote the company's renewable energy solutions to prospective customers.
Assist with proposal preparation, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations.
Achieve assigned sales and revenue targets.


Client Relationship Management


Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Conduct client meetings, presentations, and follow-up engagements.
Understand customer needs and recommend suitable energy solutions.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.


Market Research & Analysis


Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and market opportunities.
Track competitor activities and provide market intelligence.
Prepare reports and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.


Renewable Energy Solutions Support


Collaborate with technical teams to understand and present energy solutions effectively.
Support site assessments and basic energy audit activities when required.
Assist in preparing commercial proposals for solar and other renewable energy projects.


Partnerships & Networking


Build relationships with industry stakeholders, partners, and decision-makers.
Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums.
Support engagement with project developers, commercial partners, and funding institutions.


Reporting & Documentation


Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and client engagements.
Prepare periodic pipeline, sales, and business development reports.
Monitor and report performance against assigned targets.


Requirements


Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in business development, sales, or account management within the renewable energy, power, engineering, or energy solutions industry.
Strong understanding of sales processes and client relationship management.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and market research capabilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.


Preferred Qualifications


Experience selling solar energy or power solutions.
Knowledge of commercial and industrial energy markets.
Experience preparing business proposals, tenders, and presentations.
Relevant certifications in renewable energy, business development, or sales will be an advantage.
