Role Overview
A Business Development Officer - Risk Assets (Platforms/Business) is responsible for driving growth in risk asset portfolios through strategic partnerships and innovative platforms. The role entails identifying, evaluating, and onboarding viable business opportunities while ensuring alignment with the company's risk appetite and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development and Strategy
Develop and implement strategies to grow the business portfolio through partnerships, platforms, and direct client engagements.
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in line with the company's framework and growth objectives.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including platform partners, business owners, and financial institutions.
Develop innovative solutions to expand access to credit for businesses and individuals through digital and traditional channels.
Risk Asset Management
Assess potential partnerships and business opportunities to ensure compliance with policies.
Conduct financial and risk analysis to determine the viability of asset-based lending proposals.
Monitor the performance of risk assets, identifying and mitigating potential risks proactively.
Collaborate with the credit team to develop customized financing structures tailored to vendor needs.
Stakeholder Engagement and Negotiation
Negotiate terms with partners and vendors to maximize value for the company while mitigating risks.
Serve as the liaison between the company and platform partners, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration.
Maintain strong communication channels with clients, providing updates and resolving queries.
Reporting and Performance Tracking
Prepare detailed reports on portfolio performance, risk exposure, and revenue generated from risk assets.
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to asset growth and portfolio health.

Market Research and Trend Analysis
Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential growth areas.

Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Experience
3 - 5 years of experience in business development, credit analysis, or risk asset management, preferably within financial services or fintech.
Proven track record of successfully growing and managing risk asset portfolios.
