Job Overview:
We are looking for a Business Development & Programmes lead to own revenue growth across our self-paced courses and corporate training programmes. This is a hybrid commercial and delivery role.
You will lead the sales pipeline for The Payment School and corporate training contracts, manage relationships with senior decision-makers in our client organisations (banks, fintechs, payment companies, and enterprise organisations), and coordinate the end-to-end delivery of programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the sales pipeline for The Payment School, generate qualified leads through outbound prospecting, partnership outreach, and inbound conversion.
Identify and unlock cross-sell opportunities between the company\'s verticals
Provide structured market intelligence to inform new product, course, and programme decisions
Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior decision-makers, including Heads of Operations, HR, Learning & Development, Compliance, and Digital Banking
Conduct regular account reviews, identify expansion opportunities, and secure renewal of recurring training contracts.
Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of training programmes from kick-off through completion and post-programme review.
Liaise with the organisation faculty, subject matter experts, and the Learning team to ensure each programme meets client expectations and pedagogical standards.
Collaborate closely with Marketing, Content, Learning, and Resourcing teams to align messaging, offers, and delivery.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Finance, Education, or a related field.
4 to 7 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in B2B sales, account management, or business development.
Demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a B2B environment.
Experience managing multiple corporate accounts and complex programme delivery simultaneously.
Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with comfort selling to senior corporate stakeholders.
Proficiency with CRM tools (Zoho preferred), Microsoft 365, and modern sales productivity stacks.
Working knowledge of the African payments, digital banking, or fintech landscape.
Existing network of corporate decision-makers in financial services or technology.
