We are seeking a qualified, innovative, and student-focused Business Studies & NVE Teacher to join our secondary school team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons in Business Studies and National Values Education (NVE), while supporting students' academic, moral, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct class and subject teaching activities in line with approved teaching schemes, lesson plans, and school policies.
Teach Business Studies and National Values Education (NVE) effectively using modern and student-centered teaching methods.
Prepare lesson notes, assignments, class activities, tests, and examination materials in line with curriculum standards.
Monitor students' learning progress and provide feedback on the effectiveness and completeness of teaching plans and instructional methods.
Identify students with special learning needs and liaise with the Remedial Teacher to develop appropriate intervention strategies.
Maintain discipline in the classroom, apply approved sanctions for misdemeanors, and escalate major disciplinary issues promptly to the Sectional Head.
Provide pastoral care and support the academic, social, moral, and emotional development of students.
Grade students' classwork, tests, projects, assignments, and examinations accurately and promptly.
Monitor and report continuously on students' progress, behavior, and achievements.
Establish and maintain effective communication with parents/guardians regarding students' academic performance and welfare.
Promote teamwork, collaboration, and a positive learning environment within the school community.
Participate actively in staff meetings, school programs, trainings, and extracurricular activities.
Requirements
Minimum of B.Ed./B.Sc. (Ed.) in Business Education, Economics, Educational Management, Social Studies, or related discipline.
TRCN certification is an added advantage.
Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a secondary school environment.
Strong knowledge of Business Studies and National Values Education curriculum.
Good classroom management and communication skills.
